This original Quarry workers cottage dates back to 1860 and offers cosy, comfortable accommodation. The property is located on the B5054 just 200 yards from the village centre where there are a number of shops, pubs, gift and coffee shops. There is a pub a 5-minute walk from the property. There is a popular cheese shop, previously selling the famous Hartington stilton cheese, but now sells many different cheeses from the surrounding counties. Within a short walk from the cottage is Beresford Dale, Biggin and Wolfscote Dale. A short drive will take you to Dovedale, Mill Dale and Lathkill Dale all truly spectaular locations within the Peak, and there are both cycle routes and bridle paths to explore, including the Tissington and High Peak Trails.

There are many interesting places to visit in the surrounding area, which can easily be reached by car for example: Bakewell town centre offering quaint shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and a number of pubs supplying home cooked food. The famous stately home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire.Chatsworth House and Gardens, is close by with its stunning location and great walks. Haddon Hall on the edge of Bakewell, has amazing gardens to view and explore. Matlock and Matlock Bath are both popular towns with different attractions on offer and Buxton with its spa, Opera House and numerous shops, bars and cafes are all reached within a half hour drive, as are the market towns of Ashbourne and Leek. This property is in a pretty village and close to many of the Peaks interesting towns and villages.
