The Goyt Valley is a very popular area just a few miles west of Buxton with an attractive mix of moorland, forests, reservoirs and farmland, with a network of paths and bridleways - great for keen walkers. It is a beautiful place for a walk with a wide variety of scenery packed into quite a small area - open moorland and gritstone edges at the top of the hills, wooded hillsides, deep-cut streams and reservoirs in the bottom of the valley. There are many walks to enjoy in the area - explore the Axe Edge moor, Errwood Reservoir, Fernilee Reservoir and Errwood Hall.
