This is an eight mile circular route from Hayfield to Kinder and back again. It has an interesting history as in 1932 around 500 walkers trespassed en masse and walked the route. To celebrate the 75 year anniversary of this milestone event in
the struggle to secure access rights to open country forever the National Trust has taken hold of the route. Start at Bowden Bridge and admire the plateau views over Yorkshire, Cheshire and Wales! Especially picturesque in July and August when the heather is flowering look out for red grouse, golden plover and mountain blackbirds. The whole route and further details can be found on the National Trust website.
