Stanage Edge is an impressive gritstone structure on the northern moors of Hathersage. Visible from miles away it stretches for three and a half miles from Stanage End to Cowper Stone. It is a famous location for rock climbers and is also very popular with keen walkers.

Easily accessible from the Hope Valley Stanage Edge offers a fantastic range of routes for the keen rock climber.

The highest point on the Edge is 25 metres but most of its length varies from 15 to 20 metres. The edge has a selection of great sections to tackle including The Tower, Marble Wall, Flying Buttress and Mississippi Buttress! Currently the Edge has over 800 recorded rock climbs!
