This recently converted old post office nestles on a south facing hillside in the ancient village of Brassington. The village is on the edge of the White Peak and is close to many interesting towns and villages such as Wirksworth, Cromford and Matlock
The property is on three floors and has a large living/kitchen area on the ground floor for family entertaining and over two floors, four pleasant bedrooms with fabulous views of the rolling countryside. This pretty limestone village has a couple of pubs offering home cooked food and traditional ales and is the start of many interesting walks, cycle routes touring the surrounding countryside.

The popular towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Cromford and Matlock Bath and the superb stately town of Chatsworth House and gardens, and Haddon Hall are a short drive away. These attractions offer some beautiful walks and have an abundance of cafes, shops and restaurants to visit. The spa town of Buxton is about a half hour drive away and is home to the ornate Buxton Opera House and Gardens showing many of the UK's leading acts and celebrities. Ashbourne is a traditional market town with many shops, bars and restaurants and still has a market a couple of days a week in the centre and can be easily reached by car. This cottage has a superb location and is a great base to explore the Derbyshire Dales and Hope Valley.
