The cottage is located close to the Hawks Nest Trails ground and is only 15 minutes drive from the market town of Leek and the spa town of Buxton. In Buxton the famous Opera House can be visited, showing many top class acts from around the UK. The Buxton Pavilion Gardens is set in 23 acres of grounds and offers many different events throughout the year including - Antique Shows, Art & Design, Garden & Plant Shows and Toy Fairs.

The property is close to the towns of Bakewell, famous for its tarts and puddings, and nearby is the stately home of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall with its beautiful gardens.

The Roaches and Ramshaw Rocks, both striking rock formations, are close by and have many footpaths and bridleways for long walks, bike rides and horse trekking. For the more adventurous the exhilarating rides at Alton Towers can be reached by car in only 45 minutes and provides fun for all the family. The cottage has its own enclosed garden and off road parking for 4 cars. It is a perfect location to walk, cycle or ride to explore interesting sights of the Peak District area.
