Shallcross Hall has five beautifully appointed apartments within a converted former old farmhouse, dairy and cheese room. The property has stunning views from all sides of the accommodation and benefits from a shared indoor swimming pool at the side of the property. The accommodation has a good sized lawned area for communal use and BBQ with plenty of garden furniture to sit out and enjoy the views of the rolling countryside.

The property is close to the interesting spa town of Buxton and a short drive away from Bakewell, famous for its tart and pudding and popular market day every Monday. Whaley Bridge has a number of pubs and restaurants and is only 1 and ½ miles away, and offers a unique canal basin with some lovely walks taking in the surrounding countryside. The Hope Valley including Castleton with its caves and quaint shops, Edale with the start of the Pennine Way is close by and has a number of village pubs serving good wholesome food, Edale also has it’s own railway station for easy access around the valley.
There are many interesting attractions for families including: Alton Towers, Ashbourne market town, Lyme Park near Disley, Chatsworth Park and House, Haddon Hall and gardens. In and around Matlock is the Crich Tramway museum, the popular Matlock and Matlock Bath with the Heights of Abraham and Gulliver’s Kingdom. All these places are within an easy drive and well worth a visit.
These cottages are light and airy and in an area of some of Derbyshire’s beautiful rolling scenery, they are tastefully decorated and great for a large family gathering.
