About the local area

Hayfield has a host of annual activities including the gruelling Fell Races, the annual Wells Dressing and the May Queen Festival. It is the start of the Sett Valley Trail and has fabulous restaurants, many welcoming village pubs, specialist shops and outstanding scenery. Hayfield is a Peak District gem. The cottage benefits from being situated at the foot of Kinder Scout which is the start of the Pennine Way, offering walking territory to suit all abilities directly from the door.

The cottage is close to the spa town of Buxton and the market town of Bakewell, with the interesting town of Glossop a short drive away. It is also within easy distance of Chatsworth House, home of the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire and Lyme Park with its 'Pride & Prejudice ' walk. An excellent base for good walking and plenty of cycle routes, it is perfect for activity or romantic short or long breaks.

What our customers say

A Hopkins - November 2011

Unusual for cottages a good kingsize comfortable bed. Many cottages I have stayed in tend to have poor beds even though the rest of the furnishings may be good. A good nights sleep is essential when on holiday.

P Penk - October 2011

Very enjoyable

Ca Coe - June 2011

Jumble cottage had a warm comforting feel as soon as we entered. This continued throughout the week. We went for a relaxing stress free break and acheived this. Thankyou. We also enjoyed the village with all it provided especially the Sunday afternoon cricket.
