About the local area

On the doorstep of the property is an extensive network of bridle paths, mountain bike treks and miles of public footpaths. In the village are four pubs doing excellent food and serving traditional ales. There is a fish and chip shop, a take away chinese and an excellent indian restaurant. The village boasts a well stocked convenience store, post office and a beautiful church well worth a visit.
Repton is home to a long established public school, is very pretty and steeped in history. This thriving village has a fascinating past, it's situated in the Trent valley between Derby and Burton-On-Trent in the county of Derbyshire. On one side of the village is the Old Trent, the remnants of the former course of the river, on the other three is attractive rolling farmland.
There are many other interesting places to visit in the surrounding areas of Derby and the Leicestershire border. Derby Museum and Art Gallery is an enjoyable day out for all the family. Other places include; Melbourne Hall - with its delightful house full of history and the shops and gardens. Ashby de la Zouch Castle was a 12th Century Manor House reaching Castle status in the 15th Century, despite suffering damage in the Civil War it is an excellent place to visit. Calke Abbey is a country house with parklands to explore and sightings of red and fallow deer can be seen. A truly wonderful part of the country and a unique, high quality property, great for family or occasional get togethers.

What our customers say about Loscoe Farm

N Max -

A wonderful property - perfect for a large family. We booked the property for my father's 60th birthday - with all rooms being double and ensuite it was the ideal house for my siblings and I - and our respective families to join mum and dad on this special birthday. The facilities are phenomenal - the hot tub and sauna, along with the gym and games room were used on a daily basis during our stay. The grounds too are beautiful. Whilst we didn't use them as much as we would like (rain!!!) they were perfect for our labradors and young children. The owners were very helpful - they kept the facilities immaculate and even sent on a couple of items we forgot. A delightful property which I cannot reccommend enough!

S Bickersteth -

Fabulous property and will definitely recommend to people - especially those who have mixed ages and need the added entertainment of the table tennis, gym, sauna etc. Also extremely friendly and helpful owners

A Yates -

B G Todd -

Our family of 9 adults over 3 generations really enjoyed the cottage and made good use of the facilities.

Helen Debenham -

Excellent property, very spacious comfortable beds & decorated to a high standard with tasteful furnishings in every room. Hot tub, sauna & gym facilities excellent, set in beautiful grounds. well equipped for us to enjoy a family get together, would definately come here again.

Great property, it made our weekend one to remember

A Jones -

Brilliant place to stay, lovely welcome, gorgeous house with excellent additional facilities, clean, well equipped, very high spec, linen, towels, fixtures and fittings. Extras eg welcome pack and wifi. Don't think the place does itself justice in the brochure-we thought it would be nice but it really exceeded our expectations in lots of ways.

K Benefer -

Excellent facilities, great size bedrooms.

G L Brittain -

This is the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. It is really thoughtfully and luxuriously furnished with a fantastic kitchen and loads of towels and the games room, hot tub and sauna are a real bonus. We went with three young children in our party and they loved it. The owner popped in to welcome us and couldn't have been more helpful. Will definitely visit again!

J Cross -

An excellent property providing more than expected.

S Garrett -

This was a fantastic property. Modern, clean and comfortable with just about everything that you could want. A lovely quiet location. All of our party were very impressed.

Sa Watt -

Beautiful property, very dog friendly, we loved it will go back again

M A Moore -

The farm was excellent, the owners couldn't have done more for us and the only problem was the weather but the facilities were so good, even that didn't dampen our spirits.

A Grenyer -

LOVELY COMFY BEDS, EXCELLANT FACILITIES, NO RESTRICTIONS ON HEATING AND A GOOD BASE TO EXPLORE DERBYSHIRE.

The owners were exceptionally helpful providing additional kitchen equipment, food processor and additional crockery and space in their own freezer for food when we ran out of space in the freezer in the accommodation.

M Payne -

Fabulous retreat for our family gathering

Victoria Ash -

We were absolutely blown away with this property. Signage from the main road was a bit of a issue but the delights found at the end of the long country road was well worth it. It was in a gorgeous location. The bedrooms were all equally sized, each one with it's own Wow factor which meant no one couple had 'the best room'! We didn't want to leave and would definitely consider staying here again. Absolutely no complaints - other than I wish it was my house!
