This cosy loft conversion is situated at the side of the owner's property in the Derbyshire village of Peak Forest. The studio offers a pleasant living/sleeping accommodation and is set in an excellent location with great views and plenty of walks and bridleways close by. The village of Peak Forest is named after the Royal Forest of the Peak which was an open area used as a Royal hunting park and not as you would expect an area of forest. The village was quite unique until the 18th century as the vicar had a large degree of freedom in conducting marriage ceremonies and the village became a local 'Gretna Green'. A popular attraction is Eldon Hole which lies in the Peak Forest and is one of the deepest pot holes in the area.
The spa town of Buxton is nearby and has an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants as well as stunning ornate Opera House. The Hope Valley has the Blue John Caves of Castleton and Hope has many interesting walks and two stunning Hills Winn Hill and Lose Hill. Edale has some quaint pubs and is the start of the Pennine Way and Kinder Scout.
Bakewell is a short drive away and has many attractions to offer. It is close to the fascinating Houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall and the popular town of Matlock and Matlock Bath, with the Heights of Abraham and Gulliver's Kingdom. A great base to tour the surrounding towns and villages.
