This recently converted barn has been sympathetically renovated to a very high standard is tastefully decorated throughout and is furnished also to a high standard. The through lounge and kitchen has a solid oak floor with a solid ash fitted kitchen with granite work tops.
Situated within the owner’s grounds this barn offers light and airy accommodation. The barn is accesed by a private lane which is a public footpath that eventually leads towards the popular Linacre Reservoirs where there are an abundance of scenic and tranquil walks. Within the area there are 3 reservoirs all surrounded by fields and bluebell woods making it an excellent area to explore.
A five minute drive away is Baslow with its quaint shops, pottery, and a number of tasty restaurants. There are a number of pubs and the entrance to Chatsworth Park is here, with acres of woodland and rolling fields to enjoy. The Park itself has the famous Chatsworth House, full of history and residence of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. A great farm and children’s adventure park and nearby a farm shop selling estate produce.
Bakewell is close by with its bustling market day every Monday and picturesque river flowing through the centre. It has many interesting shops and plenty of restaurants to try for a variety of palettes. Two minutes down the road from Bakewell is Haddon Hall, another famous historic home with beautiful gardens.
Chesterfield is within easy reach offering many shops, department store’s , a railway station and an entertainment centre. Alton Towers, the popular theme park, can be easily reached from the M1 motorway just a short ride from the town centre.
This property is surrounded by pretty villages, interesting pubs and many fabulous walks and cycle routes, a truly peaceful and relaxing location.
