Description

Plattwood Farm is set on the edge of the Peak District in the peaceful, quiet surroundings of Lyme Park, a well known National Trust property and star of the BBC TV drama, Pride and Prejudice. You may trace many unforgettable scenes, especially Darcy’s famous pool, or just explore Lyme’s dramatic moorland scenery and glorious gardens. Children are thrilled to see close-up views of the grazing red deer, enjoy the children’s trails and have great fun on the adventure playground.
This luxury farm cottage sleeping six adjoins a traditional farm-house on a busy working dairy / sheep farm, offering the perfect setting to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside. The owner’s are more than happy to accompany families around the farm by prior arrangement.
The garden offers a grassy area for children to play, whilst the colourful, sunny courtyard is ideal for quiet relaxation or a BBQ.
Plattwood Farm offers an ideal base for visiting the Peak District, the Derbyshire hills and the Cheshire Plain. Places to visit include Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Gawsworth Hall, Tatton Park, Dunham Massey, Jodrell Bank Observatory and Chester Zoo.
The Blue Planet Aquarium is a fascinating attraction and of course, Lyme Hall which is within easy walking distance. You can be truly relaxed in the beautiful and tranquil setting knowing that when needed there are a host of wonderful attractions nearby to make your holiday complete.
