Penny Pint is a cosy two bedroom cottage, located in the quaint village of Youlgrave in the heart of the Peak District. Youlgrave is a popular, friendly village situated between the ,market town of Bakewell and the historic spa town of Matlock. The cottage is in a quiet location with a partially enclosed safe garden and playing area. It is within easy walking distance to village shops, pubs, children's playground and the beautiful Bradford Dale, where children can paddle, feed ducks and watch trout leap.
The cottages are located on Stoneyside, a quaint narrow lane, within the village of Youlgrave which nestles on the hillside above the joining of the beautiful Lathkill Dale and Bradford Dale at Alport within the Peak National Park. If you enjoy walking there are many long and short walks that can be undertaken from the house - the Limestone Way, walks to Robin Hoods Stride with its gritstone rocks and Hermits cave, walks along the renowned clear and sparkling Lathkill river, etc. For the cyclist there are the nearby Tissington, High Peak and Manifold trails. Tennis, swimming and Golf are also available nearby - in Bakewell and Matlock.
For the curious and historically orientated there are museums, the prestigious stately homes of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall and the World Heritage Site of the Derwent Valley - famous because of Arkwright and his revolutionary machinery and mills. The cable car, mining caves and theme park at Matlock Bath are popular with both adults and children.
