Derbyshire Cottages Policy
Derbyshire Cottages operate a policy of letting cottages that can achieve a minimum 3 star VisitBritain (VB) grading. Our pricing remains competitive in an effort to provide value for money quality accommodation throughout Derbyshire and the Peak District.
VisitBritain developed common standards for the quality assessment of self catering accommodation and most of our own cottages are inspected annually by VisitBritain quite independently of our own inspections.
There are minimum entry requirements in order to be recognised by VB and to obtain higher ratings an establishment will provide enhanced quality across all areas of:
- Exterior
- Cleanliness
- Management efficiency
- Public areas eg. lounge and dining rooms
- Bedrooms
- Bathrooms & WC’s
- Kitchen & additional facilities
