The Heights of Abraham
The Heights of Abraham is one of the most popular destinations for visitors to The Peak District. The journey begins with a ride on Britain’s first alpine style cable car which rises up the valley floor giving you stunning views of the Derwent Valley and surrounding Peak District.
Also on offer are 60 acres of woodland consisting of mature trees – a haven for the local birds and wildlife. And if that all doesn’t keep you busy there are also some show caverns where miners once worked. All that’s left are networks of naturally formed caverns and passageways dating back millions of years – take a tour to find out more.
